Stay in clinic

Recovery period:

  • It is recommended to wear elastic cotton gloves on hands for 7 days – this will reduce swelling
  • It is recommended to rest and elevate hands for 3-4 days;
  • Swelling and bruising usually last no longer than 14-21 days;
  • Return to intellectual work and driving a car after 3-4 days.
  • Return to physical work after 3 weeks (excessive effort with hands during this period increases fat absorption);
  • Engaging in sports without straining hands after 3-4 days;
  • A compression plaster is applied to the fat donor site (lateral thigh surface, abdomen or other), which should be removed after 3 days. This area is tender, swollen, and bruises may appear there for several days. Very rarely, and in very slim individuals, fat loss may be visible at the donor site.
  • rest and cooling of the treated area reduce swelling and shorten the recovery period

Follow-up examinations:

  • after 7 days (local condition check);
  • After 3-12 months, the final result of the procedure

Medications:

Over-the-counter painkillers (patients usually do not complain of pain);

Duration of the effect

is very individual: the effect can be expected for 6-24 months. By design, some of the fat integrates permanently.

Unavoidable consequences:

  • discomfort/ pain (patients usually do not complain of pain),
  • swelling,
  • bruising;

Complications

  • overcorrection (after some time, the excess fat will be absorbed);
  • insufficient correction (may require another procedure);
  • palpable lumps under the skin (usually resolve after massage);
  • hematoma,
  • infection – extremely rare, as with any injection;
  • damage to anatomical structures in the area of the procedure (nerves, vessels)
